@the_fool_workshop EVERY MON. THIS MONTH 11/10, 11/17, 11/24 (7-9:30pm). Sliding scale $5-25. NOW AT @idiotmachine.nyc , 16 Lawton St. - (J-Kosciusko St.) $5-$25, Please come 5-15 min. early. A bootcamp clown workshop that focuses on finding your inner child.
The Workshop aims to establish affordable, long-term clown training opportunities. As a dedicated clown performer, I envision a perpetual outlet for accessible practice, priced at just $5. This isn’t merely a pursuit; it’s a lifestyle—one that resonates with many like-minded individuals. Additionally, our aspiration is for The Fool Workshop to evolve into a self-sustaining entity, akin to a budget-friendly practice boot camp, fostering growth and camaraderie within the clowning community. All is welcome, beginners and professionals. And everyone in the middle.

-1 minute performance (15 min)

5 Guidlines:
#1 Respect everyone; we all share vulnerabilities.
#2 You don’t have to make sense. Relish in the freedom from logic; it lightens your load. There’s no pressure to conform to any identity or expectation. Perform however you like—no judgment here. We’re on a journey to discover and express our authentic voices.
#3 The audience acknowledges the sacred act of performance. When you watch another performer, it’s an act of reverence and self-reflection. Stay fully present—avoid yawning, fidgeting, or checking your phone. Engaging attentively enriches your experience and shows compassion. In clowning, performer and audience unknowingly shape the experience together.
#4 Awareness, Maintaining eye contact with the audience and your scene partner is crucial. It heightens connection and enhances your performance.
#5 Acceptance, Embrace the present moment fully, cherishing every aspect. Let go of preconceived notions and surrender to the natural flow.
