The Brave Fool workshop focuses on experiential clown exercises that travel with you into performance. You’ll practice being open, foolish, and connected; the kind of vulnerability that lets you own the room without ever losing touch with the audience. The work is not only about technique; it’s about accessing a state of inner joy and authenticity you can return to anytime.
Hosted at Rainbow Den Studio in DUMBO, Brooklyn, home of Alphabet City Laughs Productions.
Meet the teacher:
Krista Komondor is a performer whose unique blend of stand-up, clowning, and improvisation enchants audiences.
Her Season 18 (2023) America’s Got Talent audition earned a standing ovation from Howie Mandel, who compared her to Andy Kaufman. Clips of her performance went viral with over 100 million views. She returned last year with a new character: a blonde magician whose only trick was being herself.
Krista’s solo shows have appeared at 59E59 Theaters, Edinburgh Fringe, and SoHo Playhouse. Her play Mercy Machine was part of the National Healthcare Decisions Day initiative to educate the public about the importance of advance directives.
A graduate of École Philippe Gaulier and a former Nurse Practitioner, her art is shaped by a life with more than a few unexpected turns.
