Hunny it's time to learn drag! What makes a fantastic lip sync? What types of acts can a drag performer do? How do you start with choreography? What kind of make up do you need and how do you beat your mug (paint your face). Where can you perform and how do you get booked? All these questions & more answered.
ACT REHEARSAL - you will have built and revised a 3 - 5 minute act ready for the stage by the end of this workshop
IMPROV - you will gain some basic improv skills that will help your stage presence and crowd work
PERSONA - you will character build and strengthen your relationship with your new drag persona
INDUSTRY ADVICE - you will gain an understanding of what to expect in the NYC scene, drag etiquette and where you best might fit in
MAKE UP DEMO - you will receive a live 20 min make up tutorial
Mr Nancy & Crystal Marie Tyler co-host an open comedy drag stage monthly.
Mr Nancy / Mz Nancy is a drag producer, lip syncer and singer who performs as both a drag king and queen. They are also teach improv comedy and clowning.
Crystal Marie Tyler is a drag performer who has won Miss Stonewall Fan Favorite 2024 and Mx FIT 2022. She regularly performs at venues around NYC & Fire Island.
